This Uher CR-1601 is a stereo cassette deck, it was first sold by Uher in 1985 with a recommended retail price of USD $2,179.

The main features of the Uher CR-1601 are: 3 heads and off-tape monitoring, mechanical 3 digit tape counter, tape type selection and capable of handling normal tapes.

Level meters used on the CR-1601 is a single digital peak reading meter. Besides standard recording/playback speed the CR-1601 also offers half speed recording and playback, effectively doubling the amount that can be recorded on a tape. Cue can be used to easily and quickly locate the beginning of a passage.

For undisturbed listening a jack connector for a pair of stereo headphones is supplied. Connection to other audio components for plaback can be achieved by a RCA cable and recording from a source by a RCA cable.
