This TEAC A-23 is a stereo cassette deck, it was first sold by TEAC in 1971 with a list price of USD $140 and discontinued a year later.

The main features of the TEAC A-23 are: 2 heads, tape type selection and capable of handling normal tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport.

Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.
