This Sansui D-905R is a auto-reverse stereo cassette deck with Dolby B and C noise reduction, it was first sold by Sansui in 1986 with a recommended retail price of USD $699.
The main features of the Sansui D-905R are: 3 heads and no off-tape monitoring to save production cost, tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes.
Dolby C-type used in the D-905R provides 20 dB of noise reduction above about 1,000 Hz, fully doubling the amount given by B-type.
