Grundig SCF 6000 Cassette Deck
The Grundig SCF 6000 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was introduced by Grundig in 1982 and discontinued a year later.
The main features of the Grundig SCF 6000 are: 2 heads, analog 3 digit tape counter, tape type selection with support for normal, chrome and metal tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport.
Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape loading/unloading is operated motorized and the cassette needs to be placed horizontally in the drawer.
Level meters used on the SCF 6000 are generic digital peak reading meters. Soft-touch controls for fast and easy transport function selection of the SCF 6000.
The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the SCF 6000 by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies.
To make live recordings this deck has a single microphone input to connect a microphone with a DIN connector. Connection to other audio components for plaback can be achieved by a cable and recording from a source by a cable.
