Bang & Olufsen Beocord 3300 Cassette Deck

This Bang & Olufsen Beocord 3300 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B and HX-Pro noise reduction, it was first sold by Bang & Olufsen in 1987 with a manufacturer suggested retail price of USD $550 and discontinued 3 years later in 1990.

The main features of the Bang & Olufsen Beocord 3300 are: 2 heads, mechanical 3 digit tape counter, manual tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport.

Typical of this deck is the 70's top loading layout with the cassette compartiment located on the right side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.

Level meters used on the Beocord 3300 are generic digital peak reading meters. Full-logic transport controls used on the Beocord 3300 let it respond to the slightest finger contact for fast and effortless transport function selection.

The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the Beocord 3300 by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies. The Dolby HX PRO system provides precise bias control during recording to reduce distortion and improve linearity in the high-frequency range, the result is recorded sound that is highly faithful to the original.

Connection to other audio components for plaback can be achieved by a cable and recording from a source by a cable.
